I've seen many reviews of cell phones on eBay lately, but I've yet to see one on this little gem.....  The RIM BlackBerry Pearl (T-Mobile) truly lives up to all the hype!  I wanted to share my overall critique of this little guy so that any one who is in the market for a cell phone that does almost everything but walk your dog could stop looking.

The large display is easy to see with all fonts, backlighting, backgrounds, etc. customizable.  It boasts a Qwerty keyboard and a scrolling 'mouse' wheel for seemless transitions from one application to the next.  An additional internal memory card slot (card not included) allows for a generous upgrade from the phone's internal memory.  (I wish I could find my actual user's guide to give you specifics, but my memory card upgraded my phone to 1GB of storage!)

Using the BlackBerry internet service, you have full access to the internet at most any time your little heart desires, and with an included BlackBerry email account, staying in touch with friends, family, and even business accounts is extremely easy and effortless.  The Pearl has built in help features for anything and everything you attempt to do with the phone, and a link in the browser software to the BlackBerry home page.

Other features include a media player, MP3 player, built in camera with flash and zoom capabilities, a BlackBerry software disc to synchronize with your pc, a USB cable, Bluetooth technology, My Faves display (customizable by you and offered only by T-Mobile).......  the list could go on and on!  I use this phone constantly and the battery has awesome stand-by and talk time.  Something else that's pretty cool about this phone is it is compatible with the Motorola Razr's car and home chargers, so if you happen to have one of those junky phones you can trade up and use all those little goodies without having to spend a fortune re-buying those essentials.

This phone is extremely user-friendly.  Sending photos to friends and family is easily accomplished in both email and MMS text formats.  It is a hi-fi ringer phone, so load up with your favorite downloads from your computer!  This is, by far, the most fun I've had with a cell phone -- I use it for everything from keeping track of appointments, phone numbers and addresses, listening to music while I shop (headphones aren't included),  an alarm clock, email..........  And it's not large and bulky like some PDA phones are with HALF the features this phone possesses.

If you're looking for an absolutely fantastic phone, stop looking.  The reception is beyond anything I've every owned in the past (and I've been a cell phone owner for over 10 years now!), and the service provided by T-Mobile cannot be beat.  No roaming charges, flat rates every month so you know what your bill is without sneaky little surprises that other providers seem to sneak in on you without notice.  (*cough, cough*  Sprint)  A minimal charge for downloaded games, ringers, and wallpapers/desktops from T-Zones.  And, as an added bonus, BlackBerry offers free downloads of such things at their own website!

The benefits of owning this phone are immeasurable.  It's compact, easy to navigate through the menus and options, and it's competitively priced.  Of course there's a charge for the BlackBerry internet service, but there's always a charge for that with any carrier.

Give this phone a look over.  I was pleasantly surprised that this little guy packed such a wallop!  I've had many cell phones (and so has my fiance, a former Razr owner) in the past 10 years and this one is by far the best of them all in my opinion.  This phone is one  you can actually believe all the hype about.

Thanks for your time!
