The 1955 Double Die Lincoln Cent is rare- But dosen't EVEN COME CLOSE TO the rarity and value of the 1969-S Double Die Lincoln Cent which is valued at $9,000 or more in Extra Fine and $75,000 in MS-65. In MS-67 a 1955DD would be worth $100,000 or more. In MS-67 a 69sDD could soar to well over $200,000. In EF, the 69s is worth 6X the 55. In 1970 at the San Francisco Mint another double die was produced! A 1970-S Double Die is worth slightly more than a 1955 DD in MS-63. In MS-65, The 1955 DD is worth double the 1970-S DD. Let's get even rarer- The 1958 DD Lincoln Cent which is worth as much as the 1943 copper cent (the 1958DD has only 2 coins known  and there are over 10 1943 copper cents known). That's $40,000+. The 1971-D and 1973 cents are unique.

1969-S DD Lincoln Cents on eBay for $10

DO NOT buy 1969-s dd cents on eBay. In the lincoln cent series the 1969-s cent have the most doubling errors. They are either partailly doubled or are the 1969-s Double Die #2 variety.

Almost every date in the series has a DD.  I've seen all diferent dates being DDs like 1888/7 Double Die cents. These are all the dates I know of having DDs.
