Here I Sit a very inexpirenced Ebayer in general BUT I can already tell you the How To's just from selling two iteams on ebay and cashing in over $8,500.  I will attempt by writing this guide to help you because a powerful seller on ebay and make you some extra cash so pay attention.

First, (I know this going to sound scripted but) FIRST and foremost - Get in the both the sellers and bidders frame of mind.  Know the "hot spots" of the item you are selling and MARKET it the way a T.V. commerical would. Another words, start off with some sort of plan.  Don't just spur of the moment hop right into selling a item - thinking you are about to make a quick buck.  Have a business (& fun) approach to listing your item on ebay.  Not only does this sence of professionalism ease the mind of bidders it also helps present a clear and define item for auction.  For Example, if you were the bidder (maybe new to ebay) what would you be looking for in your item.  Both the PROS and CONS- and be honest - Trust Me Honestly Generates Bids. It once again puts the bidders mind at ease.   Most bidders don't expect there item to be NEW so put there mind to ease as to why it is on ebay.   So, to Recap- Have a Plan....

Second,  I can't stress the meaning of pictures.  Pictures- the more expensive an item the more pictures you should have.  Make sure you have Crisp lighting that can present the best quality for you item on display.  Nothing upsets me as a bidder more then seeing an expensive item with a single picture.  (I am always thinking - What is on the otherside that the seller doesn't want me to see? -OR- This picture is board and shows little details because its so far away, Why didn't the seller put more pictures up?)  Again, If you were the bidder what would you want to see.  Answer: Details from every aspect of the item.  The front, the back, the sides, top, bottom, up close, far way.... Whatever it take.  Pictures are CHEAP to list but INCREASE your bidding 10 fold.  Be detailed (Professional)!!! To Recap- Pictures are worth every penny they provide Details!!!  A picture is worth a thousand words...

Third,  the title of your listing is important.  Use as many Keywords as possible to generate mulitiple "hits" on your auction.  For example, I have a Sony Vaio Laptop for sell-  A possible title might include- Sony Viao Laptop, Lap Top, Computer, Notebook, Note book  --- Spell different keywords as many times as you can think of.  There are MANY walks of life on ebay- Everyone of College students, professionals, stay at home Mom (& Dads), to even people serving in the Military in Iraq ( I was there Once)... These people come from all over the Country much less the world so use that to your advantage.... Another Tip- Save space by limiting what you include in your title- I leave out No Reserve or NR because lets face it - ITs online auctions - If people are really wanting to sell something they are going to have low reserve and it is going to be Fair...  Listing that (in my opinion) has never attacted me to a buy an item.... Use that much needed title space to get more "hits" by using key words...

Fourth,  Be Open minding and flexible to the idea of listing an item on ebay.  Have fun and know that you are getting rid of something you no longer want and are getting paid for it.  This isn't a garage sale where one or two people may see your item - THIS IS THE WORLD WIDE WEB- You are DIRECTLY responsible for how well your item sells.  So be personal with it-  Are you fimiliar with the phrase "It isn't personal its Business"  WELL take my advice FORGET YOU EVER HEARD THAT  and remember this "BECAUSE IT IS BUSINESS IT IS PERSONAL"  -   This for most of us doesn't affect whether we go to be hungry at night or ate a steak dinner BUT it does decided where we go for vacation or if we can buy that NEW BOAT (like I am doing)....  Business is personal to be because it affects my summer water sports- How will it affect you?

Thanks for Reading - Hope you got something out of it...
