The Power Rangers Ninja Storm - TV Show & DVD
The Power Rangers series is based on a Japanese series called Sentai, which means "fighting squadron." The show first debuted in the United States in 1993, airing on FOX. Originally, the show was called the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, but after three years the title began to change every season.
The Power Rangers consists of a group of seemingly ordinary young people who can morph into superhero form, with powers such as super-human strength and amazing fighting ability. Each Ranger wears a spandex suit and helmet of a different color, which they instantly put on whenever they morph into their powerful form. Power Rangers have been enormously popular since their introduction. All kinds of merchandise have been created in their likeness, from action figures to clothing.
Power Rangers Ninja Storm was the title of the 2003 season of The Power Rangers. In this series, the Power Rangers included a skateboarder, a motorcyclist, and a surfer. The three are studying at an academy for ninjas with their teacher Sensei Kanoi Watanabe, and it seems as if they will never be good enough. However, they soon find themselves having to protect the Earth from evil attacking aliens.
Several films based on this series were also produced, including Power Rangers Ninja Storm: Lightning Strikes, Power Rangers Ninja Storm: Looming Thunder, and Power Rangers Ninja Storm: Prelude to a Storm. The films are all available on DVD. In addition to the TV show and DVDs, a video game for the Game Boy Advance entitled Power Rangers: Ninja Storm was produced by Nintendo.
