If you wnat to jump into the next generation of video games,you want a great system. We have 3 systems nintendo's Wii console, innovation and affordabillity.  Sonys ps3  powerhouse  and  backwards compatilibility, and Microsofts second forray into the console market the xbox360. So wich one do you invest in if not all of them. Firstly the Wii, the most innovative console yet. The intuitive and either 1 or 2 handed gameplay lets you use either of the controllers to play baseball ping pong and tennis as well as familliar genres with a new spin, take red steel for example on any other system an average fps  but on Wii the motion tracking sensors in the controllers position the gun onscreen.The sword play is also motion tracked swing out with your controller and you deal a vicious blow to your opponent. Classic nintendo icons will also make an appearence including zelda mario and metroid prime. Also noteable Wii will allow users to play games on nes snes and other classic consoles as well as n64. All this as well as a price tag half that of the xbox360 present a strong case for nintendo. Next the ps3, sony's third videogame console will have insane graphics as well as the next generation blu ray disc technology which in and of itself is worth the $600 due to the fact that the most affordable blu ray player is at least $1,000. Many beloved franchises will also be making the jump to ps3 such as metal gear solid, devil may cry and unreal tournemant, also noteable the ps3 has motion sensing capabilities. Finally the xbox360 the first system to be released but being first has its flaws firstly the core bundle at $400 is a pointless purchase because in order to get started you have to buy a hard drive that is $100 where you get the hard drive and much more in the premium bundle wich is $400. Microsoft will bring its own franchises in too such as Halo,dead or alive and several others. The xbox 360 is based on the xbox's strength online communities yet this round nintendo and sony have devolped online features to compete. Also a new feature is the dashboard function wich will incorperate more multimedia.
THE BOTTOM LINE..... rankings  ps3  powerful innovative  but pricey 8.  Wii extremely innovative cheap and family centered9. Xbox360 sall around good system  maybe should have had  a little more devolpement8.  But most of all chose the console which appeals the most to you.
