I am 34 now, born in 1972 & Lite-Brite was my ALLTIME FAVORITE TOY growing up in the 1980's!

You might remember it to look like this:

it was a big old plug in toy. lol. but it still was fun!

It had those black refill papers that went on it that had all those filled in circles to show you where to put the pegs to make the pattern:

And here are the ever so needed "Pegs":

The Pegs come in:

P: Pink

V: Violet (ALOT OF FOLKS GET THE FIRST TWO CONFUSED! lol.)

R: Red

O: Orange

W: White

Y: Yellow

G: Green

B: Blue

Then came a newer version of Lite-Brite:

this was a bit smaller version but still the same idea, uses refill papers & pegs & still plugged in.

BUT NOW... fast forward to the 2000's & HERE IT IS FOLKS:

The All New "Flat Screen" Lite-Brite which also comes in a plug in version & a  new "Battery" Operated version!

It come in some really cool colors:

White...

Pretty in Pink...

Lime Green & many more cool colors.

See that oval shaped light up part down under the refill peg paper? That is a push button to turn the lite on & IT IS A TIMER AS WELL SO IF YOUR CHILD JUST WALKS AWAY & LEAVES IT ON IT TURNS ITSELF OFF & DOES NOT WASTE BATTERIES!!!

See that rolly looking thing all the way on the bottom of the front of the Lite-Brite, that is a rolly storage holder to keep all the pegs in. It is very easy for any child to turn using the 2 knobs on either side.

Now the real reason i decided to write this guide is to tell you that this new version of the Lite-Brite is just as much fun as any original Lite-Brite but the best part is that some of these are BATTERY OPERATED & when i was looking to buy it i was a little skeptical (i thought it might not be as "brite" using batteries) but the batteries make it just as brite as it would be plugged in & it is just so much more easy & safe for the kiddies.

This Lite-Brite is also a little more sleek & easy for kids with small hands to handle.

MOM or DAD: It can easily be thrown in a bag to take along on trips & outings. I took it along to a restaurant last week with the kids & it was AweSome, the kiddies didn't even complain the food was taking too long since they were so busy with the Lite-Brite.

I highly recommend this ALL NEW 2006 VERSION, THE "FLAT SCREEN" LITE-BRITE for your child, grandchild, niece, nephew or loved one. This would make a great Birthday or Christmas Gift. Any & Every child loves Lite-Brite!!!

My one request is that you buy lots of pegs! The kiddies seem to lose themquickly!!! lol.

HAVE FUN!!!

Lite-Brite Rocks!!!
