The Lost World: Jurassic Park Toys (Kenner, 1997): Dinosaurs
The movie The Lost World: Jurassic Park, the sequel to Jurassic Park, was released in 1997 along with a very successful toy line manufactured by Kenner. Some were repaints of original Jurassic Park toys, but most were completely new designs. There were also more Lost World toys than Jurassic Park Toys. This is why I have created several guides to Lost World toys. The purpose of this guide is to help identify out of package (OOP) Lost World dinosaur toys. The humans, vehicles, and playsets will be covered in other guides.Lost World dinosaur toys, just like Jurassic Park toys, have a JP logo on their leg (or somewhere on their bodies) with an ID number next to it. The JP logo has a small circle over the J with the text 'SITE B' in it. This refers to the experimental off-limits-to-the-public island where the dinosaurs were supposedly made before being transported to the theme park, which was on another island. The ID numbers associated with the JP logos are unique for each dinosaur and make it easy to identify most Lost World dinosaur toys. Lost World dinosaur toys came with Capture Gear, just like the Jurassic Park Series 2 toys.
- JP06: Velociraptor "Raptor": Brown with black stripes and white belly with slight blue tint. Repaint of the Jurassic Park Velociraptor. Capture gear: silver contraption that clips onto back and attaches to muzzle.

- JP07: Pachycephalosaurus: Light green body, dark green back and stripes, red and white on top of head. Repaint of the Jurassic Park Series II Pachycephalosaurus. Push button on leg for head-butting action. Capture gear: gray back restraint that attaches to head restraint.
- JP13: Velociraptor "Cyclops Raptor" (see picture above): Green with white back and stripes, open mouth, only has one eye becaue of wounds. Move tail to make neck and head move. Capture gear: silver chain to bind head to ankle.
- JP18: Electronic Velociraptor: Tan with dark stripes, white belly. Pull leg for neck movement, jaw snap, and electronic roar. No capture gear.

- JP19: Electronic Parasaurolophus: Tan with brown horizontal stripes, white belly, and red head. Push button on back for leg kick and electronic roar. No capture gear.

- JP21: Electronic Chasmosaurus: Tan with dark back, orange-brown belly, and white horns. Pull leg for head movement and electronic roar. No capture gear.

- JP22: Pteranodon: Tan fabric wings and belly, metallic blue back and head, yellow beak and crest. Body is the same as the Jurassic Park Series II Quetzalcoatlus. Push button on back for wing flap. Capture gear: silver leg restaints and beak restraint.

- JP23: Pachycephalosaurus: Green brown body with green stripes, white belly and head. Has dino damage wound on left side. Push down spring loaded head and push button on back for head remming action. Capture gear: Silver restraint for body and head.

- JP24: Stegosaurus: Green body, dark green plates, tan belly. Push 2 plates together on its back to make its tail swing. Has dino damage over right shoulder. Capture gear: silver cage for tip of tail and shackles to bind hind legs.

- JP26: Carnotaurus: Red-brown body with dark brown spots, greenish belly. Mouth opens very wide. Has dino damage on belly. Capture gear: bronze head restraint and shackles to bind legs. There is a picture of this in my Jurassic Park Series II Guide because I have it on the same shelf as many of the JP Series II toys. It is to the right of the black and red carnotaurus.
- JP28: Electronic Bull T-Rex: Green sides, brown-green back, legs, lower jaw, black stripes, white belly. Press on back for 3 electronic sounds. Came with terrified looking human figure with red shirt and khaki shorts. The person fits inside a silver cage that can be swallowed by the dinosaur and taken out of a slit in its belly.
- JP29: Thrasher T-Rex: Green body, dark stripes, white belly. Move tail side to side to make neck and head move side to side. Capture gear: silver back restraint that attraches to muzzle.

- JP39: Electronic Spinosaurus: Blueish white belly and limbs, green sides, dark green back and spots, Bright green sail with dark green bands. Push down on arm for jaw snap and electronic roar. No capture gear.

- JP42: Junior T-Rex: Brown with dark purple back and spots, white belly. Has broken leg held together by a wire. Capture gear: silver muzzle and cast for broken leg.

- JP44: Triceratops (see picture above): Olive green with dark green back, white belly and horns. Has head moving action. Capture gear: silver head restraints.
- JP69: Dilophosaurus: Gray with bright green crest and blue stripes. A repaint of the Jurassic Park dilophosaurus. Sucks up and spits water when you squeeze the belly. Capture gear: silver mask, shackles to bind wrists and ankles, and neck clip.
