Thanksgiving Traditions in America

In the United States, certain foods are traditionally  served at the Thanksgiving meal. The most important dish served is Turkey.

Many people refer to Thanksgiving as TURKEY DAY.

Stuffing, Mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberries, pumplin pie, corn, gravy  and other autumn vegetables are all served on Thanksgiving day.

The majority of these dishes are native to America.

On Thanksgiving day, friends and family gather to share the Thanksgiving Meal and to Give Thanks.

The day after Thanksgiving is one of the biggest shopping days and known in America as Black Friday. This day starts the season of Christmas shopping.
