The History of Hostess Potato Chip Company in Canada.

Hostess Chips were one of the two major brands that
were sold across Canada.  The other major brand being
Old Dutch.  Hostess Chips had a variety of flavors
and three great mascots known as the Munchies.

In 1987 Hostess Foods CO and Frito-Lay created a
partnership to distribute food in Canada.  In 1992 the
two companies officially merged.

After the merger most, if not all, signs of Hostess
disappeared.  Frito-Lay's replaced the flavors and
marketed under the Lay's brand name.

So if you are looking for Hostess chips you can still
find their flavors in the Canadian Lay's Chips.
