Hello, I'm the "Doctor." Doctor Who?" Not important. But what is important is time. And I have little of it jumping around in my time machine. You would think one would have enough of time in a time machine, but sadly those cyber men and Daleks keep me busy saving the galaxy all the time.  Time is everything and the web of time itself is the most important. Especially when planing ebay listings from the T.A.R.D.I.S. or in the comfort of your home. Strategic timing and planning is one of the key factors in selling on ebay. The timing the auction begins and are one of the biggest key factors. The other is the length of the auction. Hoverer the key to timing is knowing how you are selling to. What market are you targeting to.

First off, if you are selling a good product then it will sell on no matter what date you post it. To maximize the profit you will have to make sure that your auction ends on one of the key days. Key days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Why are these day so important? Basically there important because these are the days that when most people are most likely to have cash in their pockets and not afraid to spend it. Most people commonly get paid on Friday. And this time throughout the weekend will be the most time that buyers will feel the most confident about spending their hard earned cash and won't be afraid of spending a little extra. During the week day money is tight for most people and they are worrying about budgeting there money until their next check. Determining the date your auction is ending is one of the most important things that you can do. Give this some thought when you are posting your auction.

Some people think that short auctions can give them great amounts of cash. One day auctions are a big mistake along with three or four day actions. It is a waste of time. Why? Basically because the longer your auction is on, the more people will see it and take notice. And that is exactly what you want. Maximum add exposure, cutting your auctions short is just hurting your self in the long run. Having a normal seven day usually means a higher end price. Week long auctions are the best and ending auction on the weekend is the best thing to do. In fact that traffic on the weekends are at it's highest point since most people are home and not slaving away at work.

Be warned, posting and ending auctions on a holiday is a bad thing. The last thing buyers are thinking about is buying on holiday. Holidays are family days, unfortunately not ebay days. Posting on the eve of a holiday is usually a bad idea as well. for traffic is usually equally as low on these days as well. Just avoiding ending actions on holidays and on the eve of a holiday is just over all bad idea. It's most like the that less half of the ebay suffers will be on holidays. Learning key foreign holiday can help sellers who target foreign markets. Ending an auction on a holiday kills your chances at having any real profit.

Remember who you are targeting your auction. If your target people in the US then you should set your auction in an Eastern standard time between eight and midnight. This will still be affective time for Mid and West Coast buyers for there will only be a slight hour or two difference. This will maximizing the amount of people that will be seeing your item and bidding on it in separate US time zone. This same principal should be applied to any country your in or focusing on selling to. If your able to stay up to 2 or 4 am to catch the ending of and auction then that will be a great time to get a good deal, but frankly most people will be a sleep and care less about bidding on an item. For a seller this is terrible and you will not receive the amount of profit that you would have gotten if your auction ended in a more suitable time. Timing is everything. When you do see a auction ending in a strange time zone it is usually due to a seller over seas that is in a different time zone completely or same one with a lack of time to post their items.

Time is everything, especially when it come to auctions. The best listing is one that last the entire week and ends at a suitable time. Try picking a tine zone relative to other time zones you are targeting. Using a time converter or a timing table that list the time differences in different parts of the world can aid you to. But that when my T.A.R.D.I.S  come in handy. If for some crazy reason you still want to list a auction for three or four days then you should make sure it ends on the week ends and not on the week days
" Hmmm Daleks in the time Vortex. Blast. Well, until time gentlemen and ladies."

Runs to Blue Police Box and slams it shut and it disappears.
