We have all heard the horror stories about people being scammed out of alot of money on Ebay. But not all sellers are scam artist! And ebay and paypal do nothing to protect sellers from this. I sell used and refurbished Xbox 360's on ebay. My wife and I do this out of our home. So as you can imagine we don't have room for someone to scam us. But it seems that some buyers will purchase an Xbox 360 from a legit seller open it up and replace their broken motherboard and claim it was broken. We have even put warranty stickers in place to protect us from that! Although now we know that does no good. Paypal and ebay protect these customers by taking money out of our account to refund the buyer and having them send us a broken console that we never sold! Does not matter that the customer themselves sent pictures of the warranty seal and it is very evident it has been tampered with. But they can demand a refund and get it. We even take pictures of all serial numbers before item is sent out. Those pictures of the console itself don't even come into play. Not to mention if your refund policy states refund given as exchange only. Paypal will overwrite that and still refund the buyer there money. I would love to hear some sellers views and comments on this! I am not saying all buyers, but they are out there. So we as sellers need to do something about this. I don't know what but I am open for suggestions. Ebay depends on us the sellers so why do they treat us honest sellers this way. Look at each sellers feedback before refunding the customer money. A sellers track record should speak for itself, and if they have documented proof why turn your back on us.
