In my guide I will tell the difference between 3 ways to Print on a T-Shirt And which is the Best.
1.Transfer
2."Iron on"
3. Silk screening ('screen printing')
The most impotent part of all this is that in the end you find a COOL looking T-shirt that has great color and will last longer and of course look amazing!!
Transfer
The Design is printed on a special transfer paper from a printer. The paper is then laid on a shirt and ironed on by a heat-press.
There is no problem washing the shirt but I recommend that you not put it in the dryer and just let it air dry because the heat of the dryer will cause it to flake and peel.
Iron on
The Design is cut out in a vinyl cutting machine. The vinyl is then laid on a shirt and ironed on by a heat-press.
Peeling will very rarely occur. This method has a higher durability, but the method is more expensive because vinyl is a higher quality product compared to ink Design.
Silk screening ('screen printing')
When screen printing began it was called silk screening. The reason for this is, the screens used to be made from silk.
Since this is no longer the case (now they are made from polyester), the name changed.
A screen is simply a wooden or metal frame that has a fine mesh stretched over and attached to it.
Peeling Does Not occur The method is easier and offers better quality as well as a design that lasts longer then any other method.
It is well known that silk screen is a leading method in t-shirt printing for its relatively cheap production but awesome quality.
I consider this to be the best method, the others are pretty good. but if you're looking for a long lasting and quality shirt then Definitely go with silk screening.
