Have you been looking for ways to maintain and preserve the life of your leather shoes? Our guide will direct you to the right product that will keep your shoes sparkling new for years to come!

1) Shoe Polish: A good shoe polish will protect your leather shoes from cracking, and will preserve the "new" look for years to come. It is recommended that you polish your leather shoes about once a month, to keep the leather from cracking. Shoe polish helps to nourish the leather and provides that glossy shine. NOTE: It is best to use shoe polish in a well-ventilated area, to avoid inhalation of chemicals.

Note: For faster shoe polishing, there is also liquid shoe polish with a sponge applicator.

Use: To use shoe polish, we recommend using a cotton shoe shine cloth. Gently apply a small amount of shoe polish on shoe cloth, and rub in a circular motion over the affected area of the shoe. Repeat the process until glossy. A horsehair bristle shoe brush is also good to use when applying shoe polish. Shoe and Boot Brushes are available in different bristle colors, and it is recommended to use a different brush for each color of shoe polish, as well as the proper brush for each type of leather.

2) Leather Conditioner/Lotion: In order to keep your leather shoes from cracking, a high-quality leather conditioner/lotion is recommended. Collonil is the best brand to use for shoe polish, leather conditioning/lotion, etc. There are many different types of leather conditioners and lotions, which also adds a high gloss to leather shoes, and maintains soft and supple leather. To use, apply a small amount to either a shoe shine cloth or wool dauber, and gently work into leather. Let your shoes air-dry, and then you can water-/weatherproof them. NOTE: DO NOT use a shoe shine cloth on reptile/exotic leather, as scales may fall off.

3) Shoe Shine Kit/Valet: A good Shoe Shine Kit/Valet is made up of shoe polish, a shoe shine cloth, shoe brushes, shoe daubers, shoe cream/lotion, a shoe horn, and an exquisite wooden box to hold the contents. A Shoe Shine Valet has a holder on top, which keeps your shoes in place while you shine. Shoe Shine Valets make great gifts, and are a perfect storage item for all of your shoe care and leather care goods. A Shoe Shine Valet is also a great way to keep your shoes looking new on vacations or business trips.

4) Shoe Polishers: If you're looking for a quick shine, but don't want to have to polish your shoes yourself, why not buy an electric shoe polisher? Some Shoe Polishers have a long handle, which are extremely easy-to-use, if you don't want to have to bend over to polish your shoes. There are also Shoe Polishers that are extremely sturdy, and rest on the ground, so you don't have to hold the polisher upright. Whichever is easier, both will give you your money's worth, and will provide a first-rate shoe shine, that will leave your shoes looking like they just walked out of the shoe store. Replaceable shoe polish dispenser and cleaning brushes can also be purchased separately, to ensure your shoe polisher will work at the optimum level for years to come.
