Normal etiquette for a buyer is to pay as soon as possible, hopefully within the next few business days of placing the order. However, there are some buyers that take longer, or just do not pay, and it is important to know the difference.
We normally email payment reminders to our customers if they have not paid after a few business days. This gives them a chance to pay quickly if they have forgotten, or to become in contact with us if their payment is delayed. The reasons for delay may be because they are mailing us a check, money order or transferring the money via a bank transfer. Some may even have trouble with their Paypal Account, which normally is the fastest and safest way of receiving funds. If the buyer has been in contact with us informing us of the delayed payment, we normally would keep the item for them as long as they stay in contact. If we do not hear back from the buyer within two weeks, we would then inform Ebay that the buyer has not paid, and thus we can get reimbursed for our Ebay Fees, and a mark goes on the buyers record.
