I hope to create here an informative guide to selling ACEO's on ebay from a photographer's point of view. Many do not include photographers as true artists. We rely on the world around us to provide a special view to the mundane, or exotic.  Ebay is just now becoming a great place to sell our photos and one of the greatest ways is in the trading card form. For years we have seen trading cards of sports in bubblegum packages and a few printed in specialties for nature. Now we can all get into this fast growing genre.

just a few of the many available on ebay

I have found that the ACEO format is a relatively inexpensive way to get my own photographs out for the world to see, to share something I enjoy, capturing nature and her wonders once in film format and now in digital format.

One thing I can say for certain that protecting these gems from the harshness of time is a must. I personally treat each photo with a clear spray to seal them and protect then from light.
Also using high quality double sided photo paper has become a must for me. I print the photo on one side and print the COA (Certificate of Authentication) on the back. Also numbering and limiting the print quantity is important, customers are much more likely to make the purchase if there is a limited quantity of the photo out and about the world.

I also title each photo and use that in my listing title as well as it is printed on the back of each photo. I then personally sign each one before I mail it out to my customers.
Packaging the ACEO is very simple, I purchased at Staples protective sheets for trading cards and then cut out each one. I do loose some on each page in order to be able to seal the ACEOs  but that's okay. You can purchase individual ones from many online sites.
Generally I ship in a regular size envelope and place a piece of light weight cardboard say from a cereal box on either side, sandwiching the ACEO to protect it from the Postal service. I generally also include a special extra thank you or business card thanking my customers. The costs are minimal but the rewards can be great.

Sharing the joy I get from shooting these photos with the world is the greatest joy.
