Thai banknotes have become more and more popular as collector's items over the past year than they have at any time that I can remember. The prices of the notes have steadily increased as well, with the expected ups and downs during irregular intervals. Most collectors of Thai banknotes start out with several of the more common and colorful notes but soon find that there are a great many more varieties to choose from. Many Thai notes can be had for around $5.00 and there are a few that could demand $1000.00 or more. When you begin spending $100.00 per note, it becomes crucial that you know your seller. Thailand is the greatest source of Thai banknotes obviously, and there are great differences in the sellers that reside in Thailand. There are many sellers in
Thailand that do not really sell, but merely advertise notes that they do not even have, just to get your payment and then disappear. There are other sorts of sellers also. There are sellers who have good intentions but do not really know how or where to buy their stock notes and end up paying more for a note than it is worth, and are forced to advertise it at a very high price or as being very rare, even though it is not. Finally, you have seasoned professionals who are very good at what they do. They know where to find notes at good prices, and they start the bidding low or at a fair price. There are also several other good sellers on eBay , but lately there have been several who are not at all honest and their only intent is to deceive, so please be very careful about who you buy from.
