The Celebrity bed from Tempur-Pedic is a good choice for couples who can't decide which bed they like, or if one partner likes a soft bed, and the other likes a firmer bed.  Like all Tempur-Pedic mattresses everyone who sits on the bed, has a different reaction to it.

Making the Celebrity Bed

The Tempur-Pedic Celebrity Sleep System is made from several layers of memory foam. 

• The top layer is a 2" pillow top made up of 5.3 lb/ft tempur material.  This give the top a plush layer that gives you an initial feeling of softness as you lay down.
• Under that is a 2.8" layer of 5.3 lb/ft memory foam.  This gives the bed additional support that you feel after initially sinking into the 2" pillowtop.
• Next comes a dual air flow base, that expells warm air, and brings in cool air every time you move.  This helps to ensure a more comfortable, and cool sleep.
• The final layer is a platform base for the Tempur-Pedic mattress to sit on.  Many people want to save a few bucks here, and set their new mattress on their old box spring.  This defeats the whole purpose of the Tempur-Pedic Sleep System, as it needs a solid base to rest on.  The reason is the Visoelastic cells that make up the memory foam, would conform to any sags in your box spring.  This in turn would make your body sink into the mattress.  Not good.

The nice thing about Tempur-Pedic is the price is the same no matter where you buy it.  You just need to pick a dealer you like, and get it ordered.  Or, you can order directly from Tempur-Pedic via one of their infomercials.

The warranty is the best out their from a mattress manufacturer - 20 Years.  10 Years straight warranty, and 10 years pro-rated.  If the mattress sags more than 5/8 of an inch it is covered.

Why You Shouldn't Buy Tempur-Pedic on Ebay

Tempur-Pedic requires all of their dealers to sell mattresses and sleep systems at the same price.  Yes, some ebayers sell them at 25 to 50 per cent off, but if you purchase one of these, the warranty is void.
