Tear A Bear / Torn Critters are too darn cute & have so many uses!!! These animals are made from Handmade mulberry paper.  The pulp is layered in a way the makes "fur" when you brush or pick it. They make wonderful embellishments to any scrapbook or card. We make E-patterns & CD's for over 200 different critters & paper piecings! They are printable patterns that you can use over & over again. Jandora's Box CD Tear A Bear Patterns Our designs come with DETAILED instructions with pics of the steps so that you have something to compare to!

HARDEST PART?

Definately the faces! We have printable Eyes N Noses that were used in the Nativity & Fall sets.  One time purchase--print till your heart's content! They come in 3 styles and 3 sizes.  We also recommend Peachy Keen Stamps...She has a great selection of stamps & just came out with faces for the Cricut Paper Doll Dress Ups Cartridge.

Here is a pic of some facial expessions!! (all the eyes are in our printable set)

Tools

Fluffing brushes & tools come in many shapes and sizes. You can use a brass suede brush (found in specialty shoe stores), a wire dog grooming brush (brush from the middle to the edge), the standard cheapest toothbrush you can find (harder the better), hat pins or needles (gently pick up paper layers), & dental picks! Each tool will give you a different look.  The BEST thing about the tear a bears is that each one will be unique!

Glue

I like to use Duck Brand adhesive runners! Be sure to grab the multi pack at Jo Anns--be sure to print out a coupon to save $$! They will also take competitors coupons!!

Try This!

- Put a white wedding dress / black tux on your bear for wedding announcements or thank you cards!

- Have a friend who recently got a new puppy? Send her a care package with treats & a special card with a tear dog on it!

- Do you have Trick-or-Treat pics of the kiddies? Put your critter in a costume and add to your lay-out!

- Great gift for the scrapper who has EVERYTHING...make a critter and put it into a coffee mug with a cute message--clear cups are available at Jo Ann's---they also have clear key chains too! You just slide in your designs!

- Pattern CD's are another great gift idea!! We do ship anywhere & can include paper to go with each set!!

- Embellish a corkboard message board for your child's room with a critter!

- Baby shower coming up? Take a critter and make it from pastel colored mulberry paper.  Add to your decorations & invitations!

- Church projects, Daycare fun stuff, cub scouts, etc...tear a bears are not just for adults! Kids LOVE them!! They get to "paint" with water--rip things up...it is right up their alley! haha

Hope these tid bits help! Feel free to ask me any questions that you may have as I am very happy to help!

Tara
