I own this guitar. It is a great travel guitar. The sound of the mahogany gives a little more bass edge than the similar spruce model.
I have had no problem carrying this on planes except at LAX where for some reason I have had to check it every time through there (I asked why they have a different policy and got no good answer). Next time through there I will ask again as I do occasionally see people carrying full size guitars thru. Go figure. I got mine with a hardshell case so far no problems the times I had to check it.
Just be sure to loosen the strings first before checking it. If you have big hands you definitely want to try before you buy as you may not be able to fit your fingers in the smaller spaces between the frets to finger chords. I have heard many recommend this as a quality guitar for the younger players. It is good to learn on a quality guitar. But if you are an adult I wouldn't buy this as my regular guitar - it is for travel.
Otherwise it is a well-made guitar with good sound for a small guitar. One advantage over similarly sized guitars is that this one is tuned at pitch. Some models require you to tune down to avoid placing too much stress on the neck. This model has no such requirement.
Buy it and enjoy it on your travels.
