Tone woods ??
Article comparing Taylor guitars to Martin, plus Brazillian Rosewood to cheap packing crate wood. The Author, <lostchord1> It's evident they are not an authority on Rosewood nor "Tone" wood. If Chris Martin and his Company don't know Tone wood, then no-one does. I've played almost all of Taylor's acoustics. Their construction is hampered by the mindset portrayed by "lostchord". They wouldn't know a good one from a bad one. With their "ear" for fine tone woods, every Kay guitar made would be worth a fortune- and, frankly Taylor guitars don't sound much better than a Kay. Too thick, too much lacquer, built for looks rather than a good (quality wood) sound. If Taylor is bringing common sense to the industry, -heaven help us. They evidently don't have a clue to the mechanics of building a guitar in the Martin D-45 and Gibson J-45 class.
