Can I put Tatouage on Textured walls or surfaces?
-
Absolutely!! It works just as well on textured walls as smooth wall surfaces. You just need to take your time to get all of the little nooks and crannies. You may get a few hair line cracks here and there, but they just add to the natural, hand painted look of the mural.

Are there any surfaces that Tatouage is not intended for?
-
The main thing to keep in mind is that Tatouage is not waterproof. It should not be applied to sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, ect. it can be used on tiles in the bathroom, but should be sealed to protect it from high humidity.

When do I need to seal my Tatouage?
-
You should seal your Tatouage with several coats of clear acrylic spray when it is applied to semi-gloss surfaces, furniture, floors, high moisture areas, or high traffic areas. You need not seal it when applied to walls that are painted with low sheen paint.

What is the best surface or paint to apply Tatouage to?
-
Tatouage will not stick to a high gloss paint. Tatouage works best on flat or satin paint. If you have semi-gloss or high-gloss paint try using a water vinegar mix or using a light grain sandpaper to the surface that you are applying the Tatouage to (make sure to wipe down your wall to remove any residue).

What if I have trouble applying my Tatouage?
-
Tatouage should be a very simple process. If you find you are having trouble, wipe down your walls with 70% water, 30% vinegar mix. This will not take off your paint. I do this step each and every time just to make sure that my wall is squeaky clean.

Yes, But it should definitely be sealed using a good amount of outdoor polyurethane on it, to protect it from the elements. Remember to thoroughly clean and dry the surface before applying the Tatouage artwork.

How long will my Tatouage last?
-
Tatouage should last indefinitely if applied according to the directions. Rember that sealing it will prolong its durability. My Tatouage has been up for over three years and it still looks brand new (beautiful)!

How do I remove my Tatouage?
-
Again, treat Tatouage as you would hand painted artwork. If you are changing your decor, simply paint right over it. It is flat and paint covers it up, no need to go through all the work of removing, like you need to do with wallpaper. Its easy & great Fun!
