INSTRUCTIONS FOR TALKING HOUSE UNIT

These were included with my Talking House audio units. I thought I would share it for the benefit of others. Enjoy!
IMPORTANT INSTALLATION TIPS - Please Read!

l. Install the Transmitter as high as you can at a location. A second floor is best. Height will increase signal distance. If a first floor is your only option, put it up as high as you can on a shelf, and extend the antenna wire even higher using masking tape.

2. Do not install the Transmitter right in front of a window. Glass blocks AM radio signals. It is best to put the Transmitter back 10 or 15 feet from a front wall and any window.

3. BEFORE plugging it in, uncoil and fully extend the Basic Antenna Wire. After stretching-out the antenna wire, DO NOT touch it again while the unit is operating. Be sure to tell the homeowner, or others at the location, not to touch the antenna wire while the unit is operating. If they do, they will need to unplug the Transmitter for a moment, and re-plug it in.

4. Do not cut or change the length of the antenna wire. The Transmitter is pre-programmed to calibrate itself only to the length that is provided. Changing the length will only diminish the performance of the Transmitter.

5. When installing, do not let the antenna wire touch anything made of metal. If it is touching anything metal, it will diminish the performance of the Transmitter.

6. You must choose a frequency that is not being used by another broadcaster. This means you should only hear static on the frequency before choosing it. We strongly recommend you do an Outdoor Frequency test to choose the best frequency.

7. After initializing your installation, don't forget to remove the key from the Key-Lock on the back panel so your message and frequency can't be tampered with. Make sure the key-lock is firmly re-inserted to re-record messages and change the frequency.
