Nowadays, picture taking has almost become common place. It seems everyone has a camera and is snapping away. However, capturing the moment of beauty takes a few tricks, and I don't think you have to have an expensive camera. I suggest first of all setting your digital camera settings to the highest resolution available for your camera. You want to be able to get as much into the picture as possible. A few weeks ago, I was taking pictures of wild canada geese and it wasn't until I was reviewing them at home on my computer monitor that I realized there were 10 blue herons lined up along the water's edge in the same photo! Next, take as many as possible outside in natural light - it produces a better mix of colors than artificial light. Thirdly, click, click, click! You might take a hundred pictures before you get one good one! Finally, open your eyes. Look for beauty in the ordinary. It will take a while to get used to thinking this way especially in our fast paced lifestyles. You might be walking or driving just be ready! After this there are many little things to do, like finding photo editing software for special effects, learning to understand the physics of a picture and how the human eye likes to look at an object. At the end of every year, I take all my good photos and upload them to an online publishing company and have them printed as a book so I can see the year in pictures. It helps me stay organized and inspired. Above all, enjoy it!
