Taking good pictures for your auctions can make a huge difference in if your item will sell or for how much it will sell for.
Take close-up shots of details and avoid showing too much of a background.
When taking pictures for your auction you should focus on the item you are selling.
Use your cameras close-up setting when ever possibly. You can use the close-up setting for most pictures and you will get better and more detailed images than using the automatic setting.Doesn`t work all the time but it is worth trying. You can always change the setting back to " auto ".
Make sure you have good light ( pictures taken outside always work best ) and avoid using
the flash when ever you can.The flash can cause flares and glitches that will look like damages
or discoloration.
Once you took pictures you are satisfied with , you should crop the pictures so that they best show the item you are offering and that the item doesn`t get lost in the background.
Ebay offers a crop feature for the pictures when you insert them into your listing.
Use that feature or download a free image editing software from the internet.
You can do a search on Google for free image editing software to find the one you like best.
You don`t really need to do too much.
Just crop the images and maybe brighten them up if they are too dark.
You should also search for a free image hosting site where you can upload your images to and use them in your auctions. That way you will save the money for editional pictures in your listing and can add as many pictures as needed for free.
Ebay is charging you for every additional picture you insert after the first picture.
Depending on how many items you list that can easily add up to a lot of money.
Kodak Easy Share is a great free image editing software and websites like Photobucket offer free image hosting and provide easy to insert links for the images.
I hope you found this guide helpful and I wish you the best of luck with your sales.
