BEANIE BABIES STILL A HOT ITEM!!!  A few months ago, I had a major heart surgery and had to close my business of 25 years. I had no idea how I was going to pay bills and make ends meet. I had several hundred Beanie Babies left over from the business and I started giving them away to anyone and everyone.  One day, a young friend of mine told me about her desire to own a Garcia Beanie Bear, so I went to Ebay to see if I could find one for her.....and that was the beginning!!  I am a Garcia addict. I now own over 100 Garcia Bears, many of them authenticated!  I LOVE these little guys! I've just learned so much about them by buying and selling them on Ebay.

I've learned that a Beanie's full value is highly influenced by the Ty Hang Tags. I've learned that a Mint Garcia with Mint Tags is a desirable item. It's important that the Garcia has a nice sheen, shows no signs of wear, and has perfect tags that have not been bent, creased, or damaged in anyway. There are a few Garcia's with tag errors that increase their value. 2nd Generation Garcias are extremely desirable in the collector's world.

Having a Garcia or any other Beanie Baby authenticated is an expensive move, but sometimes, it pays off. Authenticators will examine the Beanie to make sure it is an authentic Ty Beanie Baby, then they will also check the Beanie for flaws, signs of wear or damage.  They will also rate the Hang Tag and Tush Tag for perfection.  Once you have a Garcia Bear authenticated as Mint With Mint Tags, Museum Quality, you've got it made!  These items sell extremely well on Ebay.

There are much prettier Beanie Babies than Garcia, but he has remained one of the most desirable and popular Beanies of all times.
