**It is recommended to back up all existing GPS data to your hard drive prior to new software installation.

1. Create a folder called “My TomTom” on your desktop.

2. Extract the entire contents of “My-New-POIs.rar” to “My TomTom”

3. Connect your GPS device to the computer using a USB cable and turn the device ON.

4. Copy all of the files from “My TomTom” folder to your GPS Device map folder i.e. “North_America”    


5. Disconnect your GPS device.  If the device does not restart automatically, turn it OFF then ON.

6. To see the new POIs on your GPS Device browse through the POI categories and you should see them among the list.  



7.  Enable POI Alerts.  


Go into the Changes Preferences> Mange POI>Warn when near POI   


Choose the POI with the custom alert.     


Enter the distance to how far you want to be warned.  


Checkmark warn POI in route.  


To make sure the alert is enabled, tap "Warn when near POI" and you should see a speaker beside the POI.
