Here's a News tidbit from the TMX launch date -

I am having no luck whatsoever. I'm talking to people at MANY different retailers in my area. Store employees are saying nothing but bad news. The majority are saying that Elmo TMX will most likely NOT be delivered to their store until after the New Year. Now, some Wal-Mart employees are claiming that they will get a few more shipments before Christmas, but they say the shipments will not be large, 5-10 Elmo's per store. This is interesting b/c I think Wal-Mart is using its HUGE corporate pull to get all remaining & newly produced Elmo's to their stores and NONE to their competitors. Christmas this year with Tickle Me Elmo is going to be very wild.
I have also noticed that there are people selling "guides with info" on how to get several TMX Elmo's. Trust me, these are completely worthless. I will tell you right here & now the information that these people hold that they think is so valuable to everyone. The info in there simply says; Call your local stores regularly, talk to managers at the stores, call store warehouses, call Fisher Price and hope you can get through, look at store websites, etc... Common knowledge really, don't waste your money on those info auctions people. I thought about selling all my info and ongoing finds in auction, but came to the realization that I would be ripping people off, and thats not something I want to do. Please folks, spend your money on Elmo TMX, not info on "how to get one" b/c that a waist of money.

Interesting find: If you go to Fisher-Price.com and enter TMX Elmo into the search field, and then click on purchase, you will see a message that says "TMX Elmo will NOT be available for purchase from Fisher-Price until 2007"
Has anyone else seen this KMX Tickle Me Ernie that is only in Europe? They're pretty hot on eBay right now too. Can't wait for those to hit the US.

OCTOBER 26th
ToysRUs.com was selling Spanish & English TMX Elmos for a few hours early this morning before selling out. I called all my local ToysRUs stores and they said they MAY POSSIBLY be getting a shipment of Elmos this weekend. They do not know for sure, but they did say that the warehouses had some. They will be limited to 1 per guest if indeed they even hit the shelves. The TMX's that were sold online could be the ones in the warehouses, and now Toys R Us may be out once again.

October 29th
Today, briefly, several Toys R Us stores in my area were selling TMX's. It varies what each store got, from 10-144 per store. The store I was heading to got 144. Now, when I called earlier this week an employee told me that they open at 10AM. However, they opened at 9AM b/c of their new holiday hours, and when I got there at 9:20AM they were already SOLD OUT!!! 144 Elmos gone in 20 minutes, thats insane! So I began calling all other Toys R Us stores within reasonable driving distance, NOTHING, they were already completly sold out! I asked every store I called how many they got in and none got as many as the store I was at, and the amounts per store all varied. After this HUGE disapointment of a morning, my fiance & I called everywhere we could think of and stopped at several stores to track down this elusive red beast. Nothing but the usual bad news & shelves full of Hokey Pokey Elmo. This may have been one of the last, if not THE LAST chance to find TMX instores before Christmas.

NOVEMBER 5th
Thank you to the many people who messaged me with this info. Target stores advertised TMX Elmo in their Sunday Newspaper special toy edition Ad. Stores recieved 5-15 Elmos each. Thats not quite enough to be advertising it I would say, but this is really the only time I have heard of Target getting TMX. Lines of Die Hard Elmo Hunters were in place at all Target stores early this morning, hoping to snatch up a TMX. Many were left standing dissapointed, but the ones who waited the longest and got there first, left as happy as a child with Elmo on Christmas! Target really kept this underwraps until copies of the ad were given to stores on Saturday. Target employees are saying this was THE shipment, no more until after Christmas.

NOVEMBER 25th
It's been awhile since I updated this guide, I apologize. Everywhere I have been looking and contacting has nothing but bad news. Many people are keeping me informed of any TMX's in stores, and I have heard nothing good. No deliveries at all. Most stores are saying that it will be after Christmas before they get more TMX's on the shelves. Walmart claims to be getting 1 more delivery before Christmas, but they do not know when exactly, and they are sure to be snatched up by customers immediately.
Many people have been communicating with me about the value of TMX on eBay. Yes it did drop down for awhile, and yes now it is rising in value again. I predict over the next few weeks that Elmo will rise significantly in value on eBay. Alot of people are still without an Elmo and the only place they're gonna find one is eBay.

I am shocked at the value of Elmo TMX online. Horrible. I cannot understand this b/c they still are not anywhere to be found in stores. Occasionally Walmart, Target, and Toys R Us will get a small delivery but they say that they disapear in minutes of hitting the floor. The only thing I can think of is that because Fisher Price does little to no advertising on this wonderful toy, that everyone has forgotten about it. When it was first released and was the talk of the media, it's value on eBay was around $120-$150, now with Christmas right around the corner, you would expect a HUGE rise in value. There is still enough time to buy a TMX Elmo and have it before Christmas, so the value could still shoot up overnight due to demand. Only time will tell.

Toys R Us sent out an e-mail yesterday to anyone on their e-mail list saying that TODAY each store will have AT LEAST 50 TMX Elmo's. I was also at a Meijers store which is priamrily in my state only yesterday and they had at least 20 TMX Elmo's on the shelf, and no one was grabbing, rushing, or buying like I've seen in the past. It seems that from this point on TMX Elmo's will be available almost everywhere and that the SOLD OUT IN STORES days are over with. I definately learned something from this and I think many other sellers did also. The best time to sell an item like this is WHEN ITS HOT. I wish I had dropped all my Elmo's long ago, and not waited till the holiday shopping season, b/c the hype died down drastically, as well as the value. This will probably be my last update, I will leave this guide here for historical purposes. Thank you to everyone who sent me messages and news. Best wishes to all of you!

On October 1st Walmart recieved what many in the business believe to be the last shipment of Elmo's ANYWHERE until Mid-November. These sold out just as fast as they hit the floor. The store nearest to me only had 8 Elmo's. I called around and no Walmart in Western Michigan recieved more than 10 Elmos from Fisher Price. The newly shipped TMX's were grabbed by eager customers as soon as the cart left the Walmart back room! I asked a KayBee Toy store employee when they expected more Elmo's at their store and he laughed at me and said they aren't even planning to recieve any available for general purchase, and have even stopped reserving them for customers because of the HUGE demand and Fisher Price's slow production of the complex toy. I'm wishing I didn't sell most of mine now. Because these are only going to become more scarce.
----------------------------------------------------------------------On October 5th one of my local Toys R Us stores recieved what the employees there said will be probably the last shipment of 2006. They recieved 20 Elmo's total. Many of the Elmo TMX boxes were extensively damaged, making me wonder if Fisher Price is now shipping out the damaged boxes b/c of production delays. The employees said that was how the shipment arrived. All TMX's were SOLD OUT after 1 hour of business, only b/c no one was informed ahead of time that they were arriving. YES, I did get one. They limited them to 1 per customer, when before they were allowing 2 per customer. I noticed that the Elmo TMX packaging is now different than the packaging on the launch date. And even the audio clip that the box plays is different. Elmo TMX is no longer TOP SECRET, but he's still very ticklish!

OCTOBER 24th
I have still been regularly checking all my local stores and quizzing employees & managers. And everytime I ask anyone at a retail store they react the same way. They laugh at me, and say that they have no clue when and how many or even IF they will be getting more before 2007. One manager from Walmart said that if they DO get more before Christmas, they will be putting them out in the middle of the night around 4AM to avoid the craziness of customers scrambling to get one, and they WILL NOT BE ADVERTISING or telling anyone the date ahead of time. Thats the most info I've gotten lately. People have been messaging me through eBay with their own stories of how they can't find one and what they've heard from store employee's, for the most part, same as I'm hearing.
