FOR BUYERS:
- Bid only when you are serious in purchasing an item. It cost money & time to list.
- Read description thoroughly, if shipping is not provided, ASK the seller.
- It really helps to pay with PAYPAL because it gives you the security a money or a personal check do not have. Seller's appreciate INSTANT Paypal payment.
- Before you pay, make sure you CONFIRM your address on your paypal account. Some Sellers require this to avoid fraudulent buyers.
- Communication is the key to successful trading. So email your sellers any questions/ concerns - good sellers always respond to your needs.
- Give proper instructions, notify any changes on your order within 24 hours of purchases - once package leaves seller's hand, he/she is no longer responsible.
- Sellers are not responsible for transit , allow 10 days at the most for delivery, if it goes beyond that, contact seller at once.
- Upon receipt of item, notify your seller - if not satisfied, review seller's return policy.
- Always Return an item at a given time span by Sellers, it is only fair if you want your money back right away.
- Leave feedback if you are satisfied with your purchase and over all buying experience. Give Seller the chance to correct/ solve problem, if any.
FOR SELLERS
- Sell ONLY when you are serious in selling your item. Once you list it, you have to sell it to the highest bidder even if the price don't meet your expectations. AVOID being a NON-SELLING Seller. That is not good in business plus Ebay will definitely suspend your Ebay account.
- Describe items properly. Disclose any flaws, Answer Questions at least within the next 24 hours.
- Set up your PAYPAL to only receive payments when address is CONFIRMED. Believe me, it helps prevent you being a victim of Unauthorized Buyer.
- Prompt PAYPAL as your preffered payment method. It's fast, easy and Safest way to pay.
- Communication is the best way to successful trading.
- Notify Buyers when their item is being shipped. Provide Tracking/Confirmation. Print Shipping Labels via PAYPAL or USPS website, it's fast, easy and convenient. Request pick up or drop it off on your nearest post office.
- Always be friendly, Courteous and remember your business is there because of your customers.
- Offer Return Policy to reassure buyers that you are confident about your item.
- Upon receipt of returned goods, it is only fair that you REFUND their money at once.
- Leave feedback when transaction is fully completed and satisfaction attained.
I know these things are very obvious when we deal with someone, be it on E-BAY or else where. After sales customer satisfaction is very and I mean VERY important. I have been selling for over 3 years now and I am also a buyer myself so this is all very REAL, at least to my end. Having that said, I am also a victim of fraudulent buyers/ unauthorized purchases not only once but 5 times. And it's frustrating when you see your money disappear right before your eyes. That's the reason I mentioned "CONFIRMED ADDRESS". I use to accept payments with unconfirmed address - hey, don't get me wrong, most international buyers don't have PAYPAL confirmed address - only CANADA, I think. Visit Paypal website to see what countries that have this feature in Paypal accounts.
So what happened? I accepted payment with buyer that have unconfirmed address, ship the item and after 15 days, I received a dispute. Almost always, you cannot get your money back especially when the rightful owner of the credit card have proof that they didn't do such purchasing. Giving information like tracking number to Paypal don't help either. Oh yeah, Paypal will investigate the Confirmation number you provided to them and try to track the crook but save it, you will never win. So to save you hassle - make sure you don't do what I did and for international customers, sellers need to remember TRACKING Number is so important. USPS already give out automatic INSURANCE when you send packages outside United States, so that will be your tracking information.
I know that being a seller, I have an obligation to meet customers satisfaction, I think I have done a good job - so far. We cannot always please everyone but like I said, communication is always the key to successful trading in E-BAY. And as a buyer, I always pay my dues, almost instantly. I always treat sellers like how I wanted buyers to treat me.

If you are new to buying, do the same - and remember that Seller's are trying their best to please you so please, HONOR your bids.
