Are you starting as a new eBay Seller and need some basic Tips?
DETERMINE YOUR SPECIALTY ITEM(S).
There are a VARIETY OF ITEMS, many sold in Lots, on eBay, which you may want to buy to list for re-sell.
WHERE TO GET ITEMS TO LIST:
-
your own home - items which you (or others) currently own, but do not use or want
-
Resale Shops, Garage Sales
-
on eBay
TAKE PHOTOS OF YOUR ITEMS...
When I started on eBay, I would plan ahead my listings, and I took pictures with a DISPOSABLE CAMERA, then sent the camera-film out to be developed. I also searched and purchased a POLAROID Instant Photo CAMERA and used the camera for items which I wanted to list immediately. I would also find Good Deals on eBay for the Polaroid film.
A SCANNER is very helpful with getting paper-photos onto the computer for eBay listings. I also used my scanner to scan very-lightweight items.
Of course, you eventually want to have a digital camera - so that you can take pictures and immediately put them onto your listings. I purchased an INEXPENSIVE DIGITAL CAMERA which has worked well for me.
