Mineral Foundation:
If you require a little more coverage in certain areas even after applying your Concealer and Foundation, try this tip. Draw your concealer brush through your Mineral Foundation, tap off the excess, and pat gently onto those areas.
Use Foundation to cover imperfections or discolorations on other parts of your body besides your face! Cover tatoos, veins, blemishes etc on decollete, neck, arms and legs.
To cover age spots on the backs of your hands, lightly buff a sheer coat of Foundation onto them.
If your complexion is not an exact match to one Foundation color, mix two shades to create your perfect shade.
Finishing Powder:
For oily skin or during high humidity, apply a light dusting of Finishing Powder to control oil and shine.
To eliminate tackiness from moisturizer that isn't absorbed, dust on Finishing Powder before you apply your foundation. This works well when you are in a hurry and don't have time for your moisturizer to absorb completely before applying your Mineral Foundation.
Concealer:
To cover blemishes, lightly dab Concealer on the blemish until it is hidden. Then apply Finishing Powder by tapping with a sponge to set. Continue with Foundation and a final coat of Finishing Powder if desired.
To help prevent your lipstick from feathering, lightly dab Concealer around the perimeter of your lips before applying Foundation.
To cover age spots on the backs of your hands, dab Concealer on the spot and set with Finishing Powder.
For brighter looking eyes, dot Concealer on the inner and outer corners of your undereye and then blend inward from both sides. This will help cover dark shadows on the sides that are often missed in routine Concealer application.
Lip-to-Lid Highlighters: Bronze, Peach & Pink
Apply Bronze Highlighter to the areas that the sun naturally hits (forehead, chin, cheeks & bridge of nose) for a natural looking "sun-kissed" look.
Before applying lipstick or lipgloss, dab some Bronze, Peach or Pink Highlighter over freshly moisturized lips for an extra layer of color, or wear it alone for a sheer wash of color.
Smile to locate the apples of your cheeks and brush on Bronze, Peach or Pink Highlighter for a fresh radiance.
Dust Bronze, Peach or Pink Highlighter at your temples for that "Just back from vacation" glow.
Lightly apply Bronze, Peach or Pink Highlighter all over to create an instant sheer-glow candlelight effect.
Lip-to-Lid Highlighter: Pearl & Vanilla
Create a brightened, wide-awake look to eyes by dotting Pearl or Vanilla Highlighter at the inside corners of eyes.
Brighten and create a lifted effect to your eyes by sweeping Pearl or Vanilla Highlighter directly under your eyebrows on the browbone.
Dot a tiny bit of Pearl or Vanilla Highlighter on the center of your upper lip "cupid's bow" over your regular lipstick or lipgloss for an instant plumping effect.
Cream Eyeliner:
For a casual look, dab Mocha or Espresso Cream Eyeliner in a thin line close to your lashline.
For a glamorous nighttime look, apply a slightly thicker line of Mocha or Espresso Cream Eyeliner close to your lashline and then smudge it slightly. Use your finger, a brush, or a cotton swab to smudge for those sexy, smoky eyes.
To draw a goof-proof line, anchor your elbows on the counter or table for stability. This will allow you to apply the liner with excellent control.
Blush
Hold 2 fingers next to your nostril. That is the distance from your nose that you should place your blush.
Extra Length Mascara:
To add volume to your eyelashes, lightly dust your lashes with Foundation or Finishing Powder before applying Extra Length Mascara.
For thicker looking lashes, nestle the mascara wand as close as possible to the roots of eyelashes. Wiggle it back and forth in a zig zag fashion as you work the Mascara out to the ends of the lashes.
For thicker looking lashes, hold the wand at the base of your upper lashes for a count of three, then sweep mascara from the roots to the ends. This will add more color at the base of your eyelashes to define your eyes like eyeliner would.
Moisturizer:
If your face is prone to puffiness, store your moisturizer in the refrigerator. Applying it cold can reduce the puffiness.
The sun is the primary reason for skin aging and wrinkling. Your best defense is daily sunscreen. Make a tinted Moisturizer by mixing a small amount of your Foundation Minerals into Moisturizer in the palm of your hand. Apply to your face as you would sunscreen.
Apply Moisturizer with sunscreen to the backs of your hands to protect them from premature aging. The 1 ounce bottle of Sheer Cover Nourishing Moisturizer is the perfect size to carry in your purse or car so you are always covered.
