Mason Jar Candles fit well into the saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover." I must say these type of candles that I have purchased seem to have a lasting affect on me! Mind you, because they look soooo bland, compared to the more fancy jarred candles, in the beginning I would always steer away from them and also thinking "no way a candle looking that bland & soo affordable could have any scent to it." Well folks......Upon grabbing one( 11oz. strawberry shortcake) off the shelf at a local store, I took it home and lit it up. About an hour later I begin to smell the scent of strawberries! Stunned at how strong the scent was I just had to go and take a good look at how the candle was burning in the jar. Not only was the wick perfectly straight but the wax pool was burning evenly all the way around. After seeing this.....I knew that in about another hour, I was gonna go back and exstinguish the candle to set it. Because this candle smelled soo good throughout my apartment, yes, I went back and got more MASON JAR CANDLES of different scents and the outcome was the same.....Great smelling candles at a great price. Going off the topic for just a minute or two....... for those of you who don't know why you really should only burn your candles for 2-3 hours at a time, this is why. If your candle(especially large ones) is not set during the first use within 2-3 hours and you let it burn and burn, you will see your candle start to burn down through the middle. Meanwhile, you have all that wasted wax sitting around the candle. During the first 2-3 hrs of using you new candle, when you see the wax pool burning evenly all the way around the jar, at this point you want to blow out your candle & let it turn back solid. Now your candle has a memory of how to burn correctly and will do so the next time you light it. Take notice of the MASON JAR CANDLE(vanilla cupcake that smells too good not to be edible) pictured below and how it's pool wax is burning evenly all the way around the jar. That's because I set it the first time I lit it. You can even use the lid to sit the candle on and also you can put your candle out by simply placing the lid on the jar for a few seconds(make sure your wick is trimmed correctly and not touching the lid). Remember when you are buying candles, fruit scented candles are usually stronger smelling vs herbal scents etc. If you are buying candles for decoration purposes, MASON JAR CANDLES may not be for you, but if you are looking for a candle to light up and let it flow & one that can also stand up to a YANKEE CANDLE(smell wise), then this is where you need to be. Next time you see a FRUIT SCENTED MASON JAR CANDLE, grab one, take it home, set it & once it gets going, I guarantee you will go back and get another one. Have a wonderful day!
