THE SYBARITES: A Buyer's Guide PART II : eBay Guides

Welcome back to the wonderful, fashionable world of THE SYBARITES by SUPERDOLL.

This Guide will serve as an update to all of the latest news in the Sybarites' world from the date of the introduction of the new SYBARITE body onward. The original guide is here: THE SYBARITES: A BUYER'S GUIDE  If you are new to these wonderful dolls, you will find much basic and important information about the SYBARITES there.

Yes, the Sybarites have a newly re-engineered body! There are some important differences between the previous generations of dolls and this new one, termed GENERATION III.  Some of the changes have been patented.

Generation 3 and Generation 2 Sybarite Comparison:

In these photographs the new Generation 3 Sybarite is on the left. The doll on the right is a Generation 2 Revised doll, Slipper. A brief summary of the changes in this generation of Sybarites:

The same material is used for the dolls and they are still strung.

The head:  A new Venus d'Royce clone, called Clone 779 is used on the new dolls. The doll's head is about a half inch larger in diameter than previously. The neck is longer by about a half inch.

The Sybarites can now wear earrings! The majority of dolls released this year come with pre-installed earrings and can wear the enhancers that come with the NEW Sybarite "Acquired Wealth" line of jewelry sets.

The torso: The shoulders are a tad wider on the Gen III doll. The bust, waist and hip measurements are very close. 

The limbs:  Elbows and knees have three part joints, allowing the doll's elbows and knees to flex completely. The Gen III doll can touch her face and cross her arms and legs completely,  cross her legs perfectly, kneel, crouch, and assume many other poses not possible before.

The hip:  Superdoll has completely re-engineered the hip area. The hip ball joints are now mostly concealed. There is an extra piece in the upper thigh and another in the upper leg. The hips contain a locking joint mechanism making the doll more stable when posed. The doll can stand unaided when carefully posed.

The feet and hands: A new hand sculpt and new feet with higher arches on the Gen III doll.

The differences in the length of the neck, and the height of the arch have made the Gen III doll about a half inch taller than the previous generations.

Wigs, where present, are made of a higher quality hair fiber, and fit very closely to the head. They are not designed to be removable. The dolls still have applied eyelashes.

While the first few dolls were in the V d'R sculpt,  several other favorite sculpts have been re-intorduced such as DC d'R, Fugu, Inque  and Voltaire.

The SYBARITES now come in beautiful, new, smaller boxes. They are still padded with pink satin linings but are now about an inch deeper and several inches narrower. Revisions were made to the stands, as well, featuring a narrower saddle.

Note: The Sybarites, beginning with DOKU have a slightly revised Gen 3 body, termed Gen 3.2,  featuring a  much less conspicuous elbow joint and a few other small changes.

SUPERDOLL "The Scarlet Ribbon Affaire" CONVENTION DOLLS:
Held in Oct. 2011 in London, the first SUPERDOLL convention featured three fully dressed dolls: 

 REALM, V d'R sculpt LE 40 Dressed doll in the pale skintone (like FUGU), with unique gold "blushing" on the neck and   torso.

CARBON, V d'R sculpt, LE 40, Dressed doll with pearl finish facial complexion and glitter lipstick. 

OPIUM DC d'R sculpt, LE 40 was a factory made doll hand painted in the Superdoll studio and costumed by the studio. Her resin is a unique blue color. 

NOTE:All of the dolls  offered at the convention came with a matching set of interchangeable hands.

BLAK GIFT SET: LE 30, DC d'R sculpt, Superdoll London exclusive.  Wigged lingerie doll with matte black skintone, with a dozen outfit parts three pair of shoes, and accessories
