This is probably one of the most famous and RARE AURORA MODEL KITS ever produced! The MUNSTERS FAMILY MODEL KIT was originally made in 1964 by AURORA #804-198. This is a large diorama model kit with lots of detail!!! It has a figures of the whole family: Herman, Lily, Grandpa & Eddie. Herman is sitting in his electric chair, Lily in her coffin chair, Grandpa hanging from the ceiling and Eddie sitting with his "Woof Woof" doll. There is a detailed fireplace & mantle with walls in the diorama. There is a television set with with "real" Rabbit Ear Antenna! And wouldn't you know it the TV set has Frankenstein on the screen! This is a VERY DETAILED MODEL KIT that is a lot of fun to build! The only problem is the ORIGINAL AURORA kits are so rare and valuable it would be very costly to either collect or build an ORIGINAL. If you want you can try to get an ORIGINAL AURORA though usually you will allways end up paying a HIGH PRICE for it!!! Recently a ORIGINAL MUNSTERS FAMILY AURORA KIT SOLD in auction on eBay which was unsealed in UNBUILT/NEAR MINT CONDITION for $705.00!!! Over TEN YEARS AGO in 1997 the ORIGINAL AURORA MUNSTERS FAMILY MODEL KIT was RE-ISSUED in a LIMITED EDITION by POLAR LIGHTS. The POLAR LIGHTS RE-ISSUE of the ORIGINAL AURORA is MOLDED EXACTLY the SAME right down to the ORIGINAL BOX ART ! ! !  Polar Lights Model Kits was well known for doing many RE-ISSUES of ORIGINAL AURORA KITS. POLAR LIGHTS MODEL KITS ARE NO LONGER IN BUSINESS ANYMORE WHICH IS A GOOD REASON TO GET THESE RE-ISSUES BEFORE THEY GO UP IN PRICE!!! OR IF YOU HAVE HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS YOU CAN GET AN ORIGINAL!!!
