I first heard about BigCrumbs a couple of years ago in the eBay PowerSeller Forum. Everybody was talking about it, and we all started signing up under each other. To be honest, I only signed up because everyone else was -- and we were having fun seeing how fast we could get other PowerSellers to join us. And WOW! That was one of the best moves I ever made! As of today, I've made over $4,500 from this amazing program.

Let me explain to you how it works:

First, of course, you need to sign up (check out my Blog Link at the bottom of this guide). It's absolutely FREE, and there's no risk involved!

 WHAT TYPE OF MEMBERSHIP SHOULD I CHOOSE?

There are two types of memberships: CrumbSaver and CrumbEarner. Which membership you choose depends on your goals:

CrumbSaver: If you do a lot of shopping on eBay or other internet vendors, this may be the best choice for you. As a CrumbSaver, you'll earn rebates on ALL your online purchases, not only at eBay, but at over 350 other online vendors, such as iTunes, Walmart, Old Navy, Gap, Circuit City, Avon, Target, BestBuy, CompUSA, Orbitz, Macy's, Office Depot, and many more.

CrumbEarner: (This is what I am!). As a CrumbEarner, you'll STILL get rebates on your shopping, just like a CrumbSaver does, but the rebates won't be quite as high. But as a CrumbEarner you'll have the opportunity to earn additional income by referring friends to the program. And each time a referred member makes a purchase, YOU earn cash -- FOREVER. This gives you a powerful opportunity to dramatically compound your income by earning on the referrals of referrals -- up to 5 generations deep.

One important thing to remember during the signup process is that a CrumbSaver can upgrade to being a CrumbEarner at any time. But it isn't allowed for a CrumbEarner to revert back to being a CrumbSaver. So choose carefully. Again, it will depend on your goals. But if you think you have the capacity to refer your friends, relatives, and acquaintances to this program, that's where the real money is. And there are free sites all over the internet, such as MySpace, Google Blogs, Zion5, Yuwie, TrafficSwarm, Squidoo, etc., where you can set up blogs, messages, and promotions about BigCrumbs. (See the section below entitled, "HOW DO I GET REFERRALS" for lots more ideas).

 HOW DOES BIGCRUMBS KNOW WHO I'VE REFERRED?

When you join BigCrumbs, you choose a specific User ID. A lot of eBayers simply use their eBay ID. With that ID, BigCrumbs will assign you a specially coded Referral Link that you will give to everyone you refer to BigCrumbs. When they click on that link, it takes them to the BigCrumbs site with YOU as their referrer. If they've entered with your link, YOU'LL get the credit for it -- and they will become one of YOUR referrals (in your "downline", so to speak).

Now here's where the good part kicks in: When EACH of your referrals gets referrals of their own, YOU'LL earn cash on those people's future internet purchases, too, if they've signed up as CrumbEarners. Up to five generations deep. That can add up to a lot of cash. If you refer only five people, who all do the same, and so on, you'll be earning cash on the shopping of over 3,900 people. On the Web, that can happen in no time! At the time of writing this Guide, I have over 5,000 people in my first five generations -- and I'm earning money each time they shop!

 HOW DO I MAKE MY ONLINE PURCHASES?

Whether you're a CrumbEarner or a CrumbSaver, always remember to go through BigCrumbs' portal before you make a purchase. You'll simply go to BigCrumbs' "Shopping" page, select the online store you wish to shop at, whether it's eBay, Brooks Brothers, Booksamillion, Eddie Bauer, Petco, Toys R Us, Sears, Teleflora, or any of the other 350+ stores. Or you can set up "QuickCrumbs bookmarks" to your favorite stores. Click on that store and it will open an exclusive portal to the store with YOUR BigCrumbs User ID. Any purchase you make while you there will be automatically credited to your BigCrumbs account.

 HOW DO I GET MY MONEY?

First, you have to have a PayPal account, and that account must link to the same email address that you have registered with BigCrumbs. You will be paid for both your own cash back and for your revenue from referral shopping on the 15th of every month -- directly into your PayPal account. Each payment is one month behind, though, so your June PayPal deposit will be the money you made in April, and so forth.

 WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH EBAY?

eBay purchases are made in pretty much the same manner as above, but just remember that you have to click through BigCrumbs to make your bid. Clicking through BigCrumbs to make your payment won't get you your credit. Your bid (or your Buy It Now) has to be made by entering eBay through your BigCrumbs portal. If you win the bid, then you'll get 36% of the seller's fees in cash back when you shop and 4% of the seller's fee when your direct referrals shop. If you buy a lot on eBay, I'm sure you can see how fast this can add up -- and when you have thousands of referrals shopping also......... Think about it.

 I'M AN EBAY STORE OWNER; CAN THIS HELP MY EBAY SALES?

Absolutely! If you're an eBay Store Owner, BigCrumbs will import your ENTIRE store into its inventory. Anyone searching for a particular product through BigCrumbs will be able to find your Store items just as easily as the items of a "big" retail vendor. This gives you all kinds of free publicity and will increase your eBay sales!

 WHERE IS BIGCRUMBS AVAILABLE?

Right now, BigCrumbs is available in the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, and Ireland -- they're working on getting it available to other countries. This means that, if you're an eBay Seller, you can tell your international customers about it, too!

 FORUMS

When you become a BigCrumbs Member, you'll be able to participate in the Forum Discussions on all kinds of topics. You can share thoughts and ideas with all the other BigCrumbers. And it's a great source of help when you're a newcomer. BigCrumbers are so friendly, and we're all willing to help out the newbies. And you'll probably make some great friendships there, too.

 HOW DO I GET REFERRALS?

There are dozens of ways to get referrals, and I'm sure you'll think of some new ones yourself. Here are a few "tried and true" ways -- some that I've come up with and some that have been creatively thought up by other BigCrumbs members:

• Send out emails to all your friends, relatives, and acquaintances. And to everyone you do business with on eBay, whether as a seller or a buyer. (Hint: Check your PayPal Account -- there's a record there of the email addresses of everyone you've done business with in the past year!) NOTE: Don't send out hundreds of emails a day -- I send out no more than 50 a day -- your ISP might accuse you of spamming.
• If you're an eBay seller, print up some BigCrumbs flyers to include in every package you ship out.
• Put a blurb on your eBay "About Me" page with your Referral Link. I offer my Buyers "free shipping" if they sign up for BigCrumbs.
• Any time you send an email to anyone, make sure your BigCrumbs Referral Link is in your signature at the bottom.
• Post flyers at work (and have your spouse do the same)! And if company drops by, make sure to recruit them before they leave!
• Print up some flyers and go door to door, hanging them on doorknobs. Put flyers on cars.
• Don't forget about teenagers and young adults -- they're some of the biggest internet shoppers! If you have kids, have them hand out cards or flyers at their school -- both high school and college students. Post flyers on college campuses.
• Buy a domain -- you can get one cheap through GoDaddy, which is a BigCrumbs vendor (so you'll get a rebate if you go through BigCrumbs). Redirect the domain to your BigCrumbs referral link, and use that URL on all your flyers, business cards, signatures and signs.
• Check out MySpace, Zion5, Yuwie, TrafficSwarm, Squidoo, and the hundreds of other free sites on the Web that allow blogs, messages, and links.
• Print up some flyers, business cards or postcards with your BigCrumbs Referral Link. (You can even get a discount on having these printed through VistaPrint, a BigCrumbs vendor.) Post them and hand them out around your own hometown. I have both "free-standing" flyers that people can take home that explain the BigCrumbs concept, and I have a flyer with tear-off tabs at the bottom that have my BigCrumbs Link printed on them.
• Send your BigCrumbs business cards whenever you pay a utility bill, car payment, rent, or house payment.Take your cards with you whenever you are out. Always have business cards with you to leave on the table in the restaurant, give to the bank teller, gas station attendant, or the person running the cash register. I've been known to "accidentally" drop a card in the library, supermarket, etc. Somebody will pick it up!
• If you belong to any online forums, put your BigCrumbs link with a short explanation as your permanent "signature".
• Have magnetic signs made for your car, saying something like, "Get a Rebate Every Time You Shop on eBay". Below that, show your BigCrumbs URL. People LOVE to read signs and bumber stickers when they're stuck in traffic!
• Put an ad in the classifieds, whether newspaper or online.
• This is a little off the wall, but try stapling your BigCrumbs business card to the candy that you hand out at Halloween!
• I even had one referral set up a booth at the local mall, complete with laptop, and he signed people up on the spot!

 WHAT'S THE DOWNSIDE?

The only downsides that I've encountered are these: 1) If you earn more than $600 in a year with BigCrumbs (which I do), you'll have to share it with Uncle Sam -- BigCrumbs will send you a 1099, 2) If you use a sniping service to place your bids on eBay, it won't work with BigCrumbs -- you have to place the bid yourself to get the rebate, and 3) You'll only earn cash from your referrals' referrals if those referrals are CrumbEarners -- you won't earn on your referrals' CrumbSavers.
