Hi out there in eBay land. This is a little educational round up of the basics and pecking order of the different type of hockey jerseys that are most commonly available. Number ONE is an Authentic Game worn jersey. This was used by a Pro, College, Junior or other elite player in an actual game or better yet, games. These usually have a fight strap and are made of very high quality material and have an embroidered logo crest, shoulders, and other patches. The players number and a nameplate are also pretty standard in the recent decades or so. These are sized by number such as 48, 54, 58 etc. Number TWO is an Authentic jersey just not Game worn- This is the same as the team wears on the ice to play in. The Real McCoy. Number THREE is a good quality Replica jersey. No fight strap, usually lighter weight material, but still embroiderd mostly if not all, and looks very nice. These are sized XXL,XL,Large,Medium etc. Most people can't tell a good Rep from a Gamer(Authentic). Number FOUR is a Replika/FAN jersey. Good quality ones are still NHL or league licensed as are all of the above ones. These are usually lighter material, have screened on logo crest and still look very cool, as they are cut just like a playing jersey. These are also sized XXL, Large, Med etc. Of course there are the European and International jerseys that are sublimated (sort of like a screened but nicer) and you also have minor pro and schools using Replica jerseys as their Gamers cause they cost less and are more light weight. Most players I know would rather wear the lighter weight if given a choice. This was just a quick overview so please feel free to give me a hollar if you have any questions, concerns, or if you need any advise on gear or jerseys as I am always happy to help anyone with HOCKEY. As a former player, coach, hockey father and always a Hockey Godfather to new players and their parents- I have a pretty good amount of knowledge and I'm happy to share my almost 40 years worth. Dave/ Dlcollectables / Best Regards-
