TCA Latte- The application for the chelated TCA Peel is variable. First off you start slow apply about 1-3 peasizes onto the upper jaw area as your test spot. I like to do the area that covers your back molar. This area has both oily and dry tendencies and becomes a good trial spot to determine how much and how often you will proceed with the rest of your face.
Prep Application of Latte: On clean skin but not freshly washed. Wait 1 hour or longer. Waiting builds a natural oil buffer that is crucial to the shut off process.
Application of Latte:If you have a brush bottle or pump determining 3 peasizes is about the size of a dime. Not a dollop. Be conservative because you can reapply in 3 days if nothing occurs. Dot your forhead corner temples you upper and lower nasal fold area chin and upper lip. Rub it in fully with your ring finger and then rinse your finger off and wipe it. For some clients you will start to slough (peel) in about 24 hours. Others you might notice the next day that your skin looks AMAZINGLY SMOOTH. This is just a prequel to the peeling. If you feel a bit windburned or tight thats ok. You should not feel any discomfort. If you want to try to expedite your slough simply take a wet warm wash cloth and rotate it on your skin in compress form.
Day 3 and nothing happened: As long as your skin shows ZERO signs of a pending peel (tight, dry, flaky, itchy) then you may begin the process again. This time use twice as much so you can apply a dollap dime size amount to the same areas. If you proceed to day 3 (day 6) and nothing again peels then you will need to apply the product to freshly washed and toned skin. The only reason someone will not peel from any TCA product is due to an acedic ph level. Washing with cleanser and toning (any type or make a light mix of alcohol and water 20% strength but I prefer you use a real live toner) is going to remove the buffer from your skin so that TCA Latte can make a direct application to the skin without the shut down process starting. Your skin will then begin a slower process of shutting down. You also may need to tone on day 2 and 3 to keep your skins natural oil from over riding the progression to peel. This process is only for those who make 2 attempts to peel and see absolutley no sign or symptom of a slough or tight skin.
Yes you may wear makeup. Try concealer instead of foundation or minerals. Concealer does not contain alcohol and is less drying. Apply to your palm and warm it up with a quick shot warm dryer or friction rub. Tap it into areas to conceal peel. Sometimes you will see instant skin peeling. If it is too much to bear then wet a warm cloth and recompress to remove loose skin and then reapply concealer
