We used to routinely acquire SystemWorks 2004 & SystemWorks 2006 software for clients, but more than once encountered legitimate looking but actually illegal copies. Now we have all our clients updated to at least the 2008 version.  But, we've remained careful to purchase only new copies of the software from sellers with well-established reputations.

In particular starting with SystemWorks 2005 Symantec began using an activation process that logs the product key over the Internet and immediateily begins to age that key. As a result it's important to realize that any 'used' copies of  SystemsWorks are likely to have limited (if any) virus subscription days or months left for you to use.  This makes it all the more important to buy only 'New' product.
