We have routinely acquired SystemWorks 2004 & SystemWorks 2006 software for clients, but more than once encountered legitimate looking but actually illegal copies.  We have become careful to purchase only new or what seem to be 'honestly used lightly' copies of the software from sellers with well-established reputations.

In particular starting with SystemWorks 2005 Symantec began using an activation process that logs the product key over the Internet and begins to age that key. As a result it's important to realize that any 'used' copies of  SystemsWorks are likely to have limited (if any) virus subscription periods left for you to use.  This makes it all the more important to buy only 'New' product.
