INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
.) The original grips can be rolled off to be used again in the future. You may have to cut off your original grips. If you have compressed air this will help immensely.
.) Make sure the handlebar and throttle tube are thoroughly cleaned (sand if necessary). Note: Some throttle tubes will have an outside rim at the end. This needs to be removed to allow the grips to slide over. This can be removed by cutting it down with a razor blade. If you do not trim the plastic effectively the grip will put pressure on the plastic housing and the throttle will not pop back when released.
.) Slide the right throttle chrome billet grip (the lighter grip with mating milled slots) onto the plastic throttle linkage and align slots. The short set screws go on the right grip and long set screws on left grip. Use the enclosed hex wrench to tighten all four set screws in place. Check condition and security when complete.
.) Secure bar end. Short bolts for Hayabusa and Long bolts for GSX-R.
.) If your bar end bolt keeps turning without tightening, you will have to remove the rubber grommet and nut and put them on the end of the bolt and shove into the handle bar and then tighten.
.) Slide the left chrome billet grip (the heavier grip with a through hole) onto the left bar. Use Allen wrench to tighten all four set screws in place. Check condition and security when complete.
.) Secure bar end.
