The Debug Menu is a program for the developers to let them test certain conditions in the game.  Well, they left it in there.  Finally, CodeJunkies.com (Action Replay) was able to get a hold of codes that gives user access to this menu.  This gives you access to tons and tons of features that  without a small guide you would get lost.  Also note, be careful on what you select you may end up freezing the game and you will have to restart.  Also, Also note, it is recommended not to use the memory card while Action Replay Is ON.

How Do I Access The "Debug Menu"?
First you need to find out what verison of SSBM you have.  There are a few different versions of Super Smash Brothers Melee (SSBM).  To find out what version you are using turn the SSBM CD over and put it under a light.  Then find small print on the CD on the black ring.  The version will be in gold.

Now that you see the text look after the "DOL-GALE-0-@@".
