Sun-Mate or Info-Mate Crank Radio PROBLEM

EMERGENCY RADIO???

These radios look good and sound good. Only one problem and it's a BIG one. The Sun-Mate company uses a small generator with a Nylon Gear which snaps in half. The whole line has the same Crank & Gear assembly system. I have two and both broke. ebayers have e-mailed me, seems the problem is widespread. I spoke to the President of the company, he doesn't care. The company will only fix the radio on Warranty BUT after a number of cranks, bang the gear snaps, NO MORE DYNAMO EMERGENCY RADIO!
