Hi again!  Here is another spoof email trying to get your user id & password.  With these 2 things...the potential crimes are countless.

Do not click on the link if you receive this.  I have blocked this one out with x's so you can see another example of a fake email.

Please note that anyone can paste a logo on the email.  This one has typos & is dated 2005...I think I remember getting this last year too.  If you really read it...the words are a joke too.

Pay-Pal does not spell their name with a dash either as they do in the subject below.  They also would address you by your name.

If you have any questions, open up a new browser & sign in securely to your real PayPal account & see if there is any alert in there.

Forward to spoof@paypal.com if you get it in your inbox & help trace it back to the thiefs!

This was in my inbox, it had graphics & looked kind of official, I just copied body of letter:

We are contacting you to remind you that on 5 March 2005 our Account Review Team identified some unusual activity in your account. In accordance with PayPal's User Agreement and to ensure that your account has not been compromised, access to your account was limited. Your account access will remain limited until this issue has been resolved.

To secure your account and quickly restore full access, we may require some additional information from you for the following reason:

We have been notified that a card associated with your account has been reported as lost or stolen, or that there were additional problems with your card.


This process is mandatory, and if not completed within the nearest time your account or credit card may be subject for temporary suspension.
