This guide is to help buyers who are buying stuffed toys. When you are in the process of locating and buying a stuffed toy whether it be a teddy bear or stuffed character toy that your child is asking for please be very choosy and careful

As a stuffed toy and bear seller on Ebay for many years I would like to share a few tips before you purchase..

1. Select a seller who has a good reputation for selling these types of items and specializes in stuffed toys
2. Ask the seller where they purchased it , where it is storaged and how it is kept before it is sold as you wouldnt want to buy a toy for your child that is being storaged in some musty moldy garage or basement or where a lot of germs are
3. If you see a seller who is bringing in thousands of stuffed toys from garage sales, thrift stores and any place they can get their hands on them to make a quick $$ and they have any comments from unhappy buyers then stay clear of them
4. Read the feedback board carefully to see what others have said about the condition of the toys they received
5. If you see any comment regarding smoke, smell , stained , soiled , not as described , etc then move on to another seller
6. As you dont get to see the claims of not as described and how many buyers were very unhappy stick with a seller you can see is selling toys in great condition or who answers any questions you may have and who you really feel you can trust
7. Read their policies carefully and look at their pictures... Look at the way the page is set up and how much details and time is invested in making sure the item is well presented. If you see horrible fonts, bad layout , sloppy workmanship ..then this gives you a pretty good idea of who you are dealing with when it comes to the care that is taken on the stuffed toy you are thinking about purchasing
8. If they are using very tiny pictures that you cant see anything or blurry pictures then stay clear also because a true Ebay sellers first priority should be to invest in a good camera to show the buyer what they are paying for. Not take fast horrible pictures just to throw the item in and get fast money without taking any care.. This type of seller shows that they just dont care and they will also not care about you either when you say the stuffed toy is not nice and you are unhappy. Ask for large pictures and see if the seller cares enough to take the time to accomodate your request
9. If you see a seller with thousands and thousands of stuffed toys that are very low prices and dont look so good be very cautious. As the saying goes " You get what you pay for "  If you are thinking of saving $$ sometimes its just not the wisest decision to make when it might be harmful
10. If the toy is for a child or baby or just for yourself dont risk having your baby or anyone with a toy that has germs inside it no matter how much you wash the outside .. if the seller is selling garbage then thats what you are buying
11. Check that the seller is selling items from a reputable manufacturer of toys that do not use any harmful materials
12. New or Mint stuffed toys in my opinion means that it is coming from a store or distributor without being purchased and touched by other owners hands. Any stuffed toy that has been bought and been owned by someone is not new .. It should be described as Good ,Very Good, Excellent and so forth but not new.. If you see a seller selling stuffed toys then ask them where they got it from.. If they say they bought it from someone else , at a garage sale or thrift store then it is not New
13. Ask the seller how your stuffed toy is going to be shipped to you and by this I mean is your item going to be properly packaged in a box and well protected. Some sellers think that just because its a stuffed toy it can be sent any way but they fail to remember that the toy 99% of the time has beaded eyes or plastic noses or both ..This can be broken if they are shipped just in an envelope
14. Most of all ask questions as you are buying online and cannot actually pick up the stuffed toy and feel it or smell it and you have to trust the seller for this information

I hope this guide has helped you with a few things to think about before buying stuffed toys and thank you for reading
