How to Plan a Theme Wedding
Choose a Theme Wedding that relates to your relationship and that you think will be romantic and fun! If you are happy about your theme and enthusiastic, so will be your guests! The key to a wedding theme's success is its application-- do not forget to make the bride and groom the center of attention at all times and activities involved! You do not want guests so caught up in the atmosphere or activities that they forget wedding courtesy or take away the spotlight!

Invitations will help explain your theme wedding, enclose a personalized note in the invitation with participants roles. Explain that you have chosen to exchange your vows with creative flair. INclude your telephone number with a few others so questions may be answered beforehand. Include a description of theme and refreshments! Be sure to consider the time of your reception as well as meal planning. Include suggestions for appropriate attire! You do not want a halloween costume at a Black Tie affair. To avoid confusion, consider forming a calling circle to follow up unique invitations! Do so within two weeks of sending to assure that guests received their invitations, and allow them to ask questions, if they are curious! Remember to pack any items you enclose with the invitations, and to attach proper postage! It's a shame if they are returned due to a few pennies difference in postage!

Do you want your guests to wear costumes? You may be comfortable with that, but your guests may not. Don't force the issue, encourage guests to participate at their comfort level. Don't forget they are coming to witness and celebrate a sacred occasion and to rejoice at your happiness! A simply put courtesy request such as, "I hope all guests will dress according to the theme, however, I dont want the dress requirement to hinder your attendance!" will put shy guests at ease, and still involved!

Viewing the wedding party's dress and site decor as an interpretation of the them, not as the exact re-creation of the period or event may save some graceful embarassments from happening. Mix twentieth century comfort with authentic designs. Don't be afraid to use theatrical props instaed of the real thing. Who needs a horse roaming the grounds when a stick horse, here and there depict the dramatic effect in a quirky, but laughable stage. Will the groom feel silly in his dressing attire? Substitute items that assure all in the wedding party and comfortable, yet remember their roles! When planning party dress, consider the date. Is the weather heavy? Then an outdoor Renaissance theme might have a few fainting lovers who get more attention than the bride and groom, unless they are the faintees. Consider the weather, the clothing attire, the grounds, the music, the food and assure that all practicalities are in accordance to everyone's comfort!

Coordinating Wedding Vendors: When visiting a proposed site, florist, phtotgrapher, caterer, baker, or other vendors, tell them your plans for a theme wedding! Ask them for ideas that complement your theme. Tell them what you have in mind. Listen to their opinions, comments, and suggestions. It may inspire you in a whole new way. If the chosen vendor starts to stray from your perception of theme, gently remind them of the special details you have requested, and of course, put into writing.

The Key to Any Special Event is careful planning and of course, follow up, follow up, follow up! Plan and coordinate every detail thoroughly and completely, but expect that some of yoru plans may not turn out as planned, and go with the flow! Accept it or you will ruin memories of your special occasion!

Be sure to check with your clergy for any objections, and to assure they too, are attuned to what is within your theme planning. If any part is objectionable, try to change or omit it, and work to reach a satisfactory compromise. The fun thing with themed weddings is brides usually get more cooperation from the groom, as he looks at the details as a more party theme, and less intimidating as the permeance of the "commitment ball and chain."

Complete Wedding Theme Designs
One of the most beautiful weddings I have seen was a Christmas in July Snow Flake Castle! There were red poinsettas every where and candles dripping from silver candlelabras. Santa sat at the front of the table and welcomed the bride and groom promising life happiness and stockings of wedding gifts from the guests. It was royally the most beautiful setting, and all the guests were delighted with the cold blast of beauty in the hottest month!

Below are a few ideas that will sparkle and challenge you to think about themes for your special day. Did you meet your honey at a roller rink? Rock Climbing? Concert? Think on these things to personalize the theme and make it a celebration of personal interests. He won't forget the anniversary if you have a special attachment of date choosing, and theme! How To Save $$$ When Planning Themes
By buying in bulk, you save loads of money, and the extras you can always sell (on ebay!). Think large and come in saving your money for the things that really matter! I did my whole wedding from ebay items and thrift stores and the internet. I resold all items left over, except personalized items, for more than I paid for them, by smart selling tactics on ebay! Don't lose out! Don't pay too much! Above all, make this a wedding to remember! Make it personal! Make a memory!
