The most popular form of decorating today is to have your home look like grandma's. with that information in mind I started to do my research, to determine what brand of Stoneware to carry that would look  like its old but be new and have the availability of being used in the Microwave, dishwasher, oven and be most important Lead Free. After searching, reading everything in site and asking my friends and family to take a look at samples I had purchased, it was 100% Clay City a small little known but family operated Pottery who specializes in making everything by hand. It all has the look of grandma and the usefulness for the Young Mom who is working and caring for 2 or 3 little children. In other words a busy Mom. A Mom who wants her home to look homey and also lovely, one to be proud of. The colors are vibrant and the product is well worth the  price.

I found Clay City had been around since the late 1800's and has made the same patterns since they started ,adding a few as they went along. Its also family operated. All members work in the  Pottery. I found their caring was superb and their desire to help me get established was wonderful. Very unuusual to find a large company to spend the time I've needed to get to know my product and to be able to have the openess with them that I can call suggest something new or different or something one of my buyers wants done special and with no problem its added to the list and it gets done. 'I'm thrilled and happy to specialize in selling Clay City Pottery and I know you will be as pleased as I am.

They have a web site that I have found extremely informative.

It is unfortunate that so many sellers are passing their items off as old or vintage or used because they (Clay City) is so good at what they do, that the items do look old but they aren't and they are very nicely priced so that everyone can have a lovely home today.

I'm sure you will enjoy the product as much as I do.

visit me at my site and you will see what I mean.
