How do you stay positive on eBay when people have the opportunity to leave hurtful and untrue comments on our site through the feedback system? The feedback system is outdated and the DSRs appear to be the only true margin about a seller, except for the last one "shipping/handling charges".
As a buyer, if I see low scores on the shipping/handling charges and the person sells internationally, I take that into account and disregard that score.
When I teach others how to sell on eBay, I use the following concept: "Every neighborhood has that one person who is hard to deal with and tries to make others in the neighborhood miserable". We have to avoid them and move on, otherwise they can bring you down.
This is true on eBay too. As a buyer, I do not pay attention or have time to read through Positive or Negative comments any more, but really pay attention to the DSRs. The DSRs are going to let you know a good average of how the seller runs their business.
With all of the changes eBay is implementing, I think it is time to let go of an outdated feedback system and implement the new star system (DSRs), as it is more appealing to the eyes.
