Stationery Review & Money Saving Tips
Stationery Review: (please read to understand what you will need so you don’t get things you don’t need)
- Invitations - formally invite guests to the ceremony and/or reception. To invite select guests to the ceremony and reception, while others will receive reception cards only.
- Reception Folders - invite guests to the reception only, while select guests are invited to the ceremony and reception.
- Response Folders - give the host(s) a better idea of how many guests to expect at each event. This is good information for ordering food at the reception and/or for your “A” “B” List for your invitations.
- Thank-you cards - are used to express the bride and groom's thanks for the gifts received.
- Ceremony brochures (programs) - list the order of events during the ceremony. It should also list attendants, musicians, songs, prayers, scriptures, as well as unusual customs.
- Maps - help guests find the location of the events.
- Pew cards - indicate special seating at the ceremony.
- Rain & Snow cards - instruct guests of an alternate location for an outdoor wedding in case of rain or snow.
- Travel cards - inform guests of special transportation that the host(s) has arranged for the wedding events. Be sure to include a note indicating the parking locations, and whether a fee or gratuity has been paid in advance.
- Weekend program - informs guests of the events scheduled for the wedding weekend. Include travel information, lodging, clothing attire and any special notes to help the guests.
- At-home cards - inform friends of Bride and Groom's new address.
Money saving tips:
To save on charges you mite want to look at LCC (Left Corner Copy you can have up to 3 lines printed on the bottom of the invitation in a smaller print) instead of Reception Cards usually this can save $20-150 and more.
