When you start selling on eBay you need to know and do the following things:
1) Sell some cheap items! With loosing start prices. I did it myself, It might buy you some new costumers. Don't sell expensive stuff just stuff you can sell cheap (cheap but not junk).2) Buy some cheap items that will improve your rating (Feedback Ratings points etc).
3) Try to finish 10 successful sales before starting to sell expensive stuff in order to get "Detailed Seller Ratings".
4) Write an "About me" page. Check out my "About me" page (mine is not so good but at least I've got one).
5) Get verified: Pay Pal verified and if you can ID verified.
6) Build an Excel sheet for tracking your buying and selling info (to help you track your business info).
7) Go to http://pulse.ebay.com and find out what customers are looking for.
8) Get some web space, design your listings. .(OR get professional help designing your listings).
9) Time your listings so they will finish together (Less work for you).
10) Ship fast. (When your costumer pays don't let him/her wait).
11) Small items ship world wide. (Will increase Item’s final price (Auctions)).
12) Leave fair feedback.
13) Be creative.
14) Be polite.
15) Write guides and reviews.
16) Enjoy eBay.
