Argueably to be one of the most prized Star Wars figures is the Double Telescoping variations that where available in Luke,Ben Kenobi, and Darth Vader.  this is a simple pictorial guide to see the difference between a normal saber and a Double Telescoping version, you'll see the double telescoping extends to almost twice it's length.  The Luke was first available in the Early Bird Kit so you can find many loose version of him.  Ben and Darth where only available for a limited time, due to the extra cost, on cardbacks.  It's hard to say which is rarer a Ben or a Darth, both command extreme prices upwards of $20,000.  Due to the high price for these figures there have been many fakes made of the lightsaber, most likely the Ben pictured is a fake DT Lightsaber.  Beyond sending them to the Action Figure Authority Authenticating these can be very difficult, so be very wary when purchasing DT Figures.
