Star Wars CCG is a card game created by Decipher in 1995. The game came out during the height of CCG's. Star Wars main competitor of its life cycle was Magic the Gathering. Though SW was never able to consistently outsell Magic, it had a rather large collector and player base.

Star Wars was produced until 2001 when Decipher lost the Star Wars license to Wizards of the Coast. Wizards of the Coast produced the Star Wars TCG that lasted only a short while and was not nearly as popular as the Decipher game.

While the game stopped being printed in 2001, Decipher turned over the player base to a Player Committee created to help the game continue since the game was still popular. The Star Wars CCG Players Committee was formed, SWCCGPC or PC for short.

The PC, as its known, has continued to keep the game alive through running tournaments with cash prizes as well as putting out new card sets.

These sets are called Virtual, V sets. V sets are paper slips that fit over the older version of a card, giving that card new text and abilities. There have been 13 total V sets, introducing new Objectives, new starting effects and giving many characters new text that make them very playable.

The PC continues to help support tournaments and helps to organize and coordinate what is happening with the gaming community.

The game is still being played all around the world with monthly tournaments as well as bigger tournaments run throughout the year.

If you used to play this game and would like to play again, finish off those unfinished sets, or just like Star Wars, feel free to contact us and we will help you locate players in your local area.
